The Use of Collision/Reaction Cell ICP-MS with Isotope Dilution to Provide Assigned Values for Zn, Cu, and Se in Serum Samples for a Proficiency Testing Scheme

چکیده

This work describes a procedure for the determination of copper, selenium, and zinc in serum using the Agilent 7500ce collision/reaction cell (CRC) ICP-MS in both helium and hydrogen modes. The method utilizes the high-accuracy technique of isotope dilution whereby the sample is spiked with an isotopically enriched solution to an optimum ratio and measured alongside a spiked calibration standard. Sample preparation is minimal as digestion is not required. Uncertainty estimates calculated following ISO and Eurachem guidelines are provided.
